GAS TONI 4 - 27.3.2025

And something has happened again...

Episode 1: Saving and fasting / Budget & holes
In addition to a financial imbalance, the company is dealing with questions of fasting.
It's just before Easter and everyone is trying to find their own personal way of dealing with the commandment. Esther is irritable, Martin is so thin that his pants are slipping down in his boss Sabine's office. Astrid has bought shoes that are too small and is also planning a semi-legal cost-cutting campaign at the company. Sabine is also in close contact with Mr. Koiner from the cultural advisory board.  Since Mr. Koiner is in urgent need of editorial help, Sabine suggests that the graphic designer Martin be loaned to Stocker Verlag. She forces him to jump over his shadow. Martin is in despair, and even his encounters with Esther, who devours his sweet “Jakominis” during Lent, don't help.

Mike (this time from Romania) is busy pumping gas. This is part of Astrid's semi-legal savings project. After a few adaptations (the pumped gas has to be resold, not released by Mike into the air in Graz), the solution to this problem has a nice name:Buffer storage.Sabine asks her father, who is still in a coma, whether she should kick Martin out, as he has acted against the company's intentions by simply canceling some upcoming publications at Stocker Verlag. But the audience doesn't want Sabine to kick Martin out that evening either. Somehow she is happy about this, especially when Mr. Koiner is able to establish a positive demand at Stocker Verlag and goes out to dinner with Sabine.  After the meal with Mr. Koiner, Sabine is much more balanced again. This time there is schnapps to break the fast, and good news for Esther. The Sorger company has ordered a large order and is donating lots of sweet Jakominis.

Episode 2: Spring awakening and cultural curatorship
The staff are overcome with spring fever. Sabine sees a color change in the next generation of thermal baths as her top motivation. The thermal baths should be grass green, a fresh image can never hurt.  Esther was in the theater and laughed a lot, a woman with big breasts and little clothes can be very funny. Martin can't go along with that. He's a fan of real art. Esther suspects that his lack of humor is more due to the fact that he hasn't had a girlfriend for a while. Thanks to the changes in the Styrian cultural subsidies, Esther and Martin can now attend a yodeling course, and not only do they get €10 for each visit, Esther even gets a dirndl at the end of the course. Astrid is less than convinced by Sabine's color impulses; she thinks that Austria's brown cellars don't go well with green thermal baths. Due to the general spring mood, she sternly reminds Esther that Martin is hers!  A guest arrives, this time it is the actress Kestranek, who is undergoing retraining and is given character traits (loud and emotional) by the audience. Formerly in the independent scene, she is now trying out her destiny as a heating engineer.

Mike ( this time from Texas ) shows her around the camp.  When Martin learns that the great actress Waltraud Kestranek is now having her trial period at Gas Toni, he is completely beside himself! To him, she's just: Kestranek! Sabine rants to Dad about the completely unnecessary demonstrations taking place in the city. It's also kind of stupid that nobody wants to buy the new green thermal baths. True to her artistic ethos, Waltraut Kestranke wants to find out how it feels to be an office worker. What the inner processes are and what emotionality prevails Esther is suspicious of this. She decides to cut off her budding relationship with Martin immediately and breaks it off, not least because he is so bad at yodeling. Martin donates his yodeling money to the poor actress, who goes to the Spar and buys herself a snack.  Not only because of spring fever, but also because of the inspiring presence of the great Kestranek, everything begins to express itself in creative forms, and even flute playing finds its way into the Gas Tonis. Astrid is the first one who can't take it anymore: Art everywhere, that's not possible! Everything has been left behind, we have to get back to work.  After all, it's just as well that the great Kestranek is moving on again. She wants to do an internship in the state government.  This time, the schnapps is not the rewarding end of a working day, but the encouraging beginning.
