At TiB, we first worked with Ilse and Kurt Garzaner, and that's how we got to know Mario. Mario performed in Schlingensief's 1995 production “Hurra Jesus, ein Hochkampf” (Hurray Jesus, a High Fight). It was a legendary production by steirischer herbst at the Schauspielhaus Graz. Christoph Schlingensief then hired Mario and his parents for many other projects. The Garzaners performed in Berlin and at the most important theaters and festivals in the German-speaking world.…

ich fahre viel Zug und ich fahre gerne zug
wenn man immer die gleiche strecke fährt
dann trifft man ab und an auch die gleichen menschen
ich fahre graz zürich - nicht bis zürich, aber immerhin
wenn alles gut geht, dauert diese fahrt ca 5 stunden
da es eine fernverbindung ist, reservieren die meisten leute einen sitzplatz und
weil ich einen großen hund mithabe, bespreche ich mich mit den mitreisenden
manchmal gibt es eine hundeallergie oder eine hundeangst,
dann versuche ich in den hintersten wägen…

In the early days, one of us once said “The program of this theatre is love” into a Bulgarian television microphone when asked about our aesthetics.
There was probably a lot of intuition, euphoria and some rakija involved, but we are particularly pleased that the jury's statement speaks of “radical love for theater and lively curiosity”.

Wir gehen für den Erhalt unseres Sektors und der demokratischen Gepflogenheiten im Bereich der Förderungen auf die Straße.
Die Umbesetzung des Kulturkuratoriums im Handstreich legt die Vermutung nahe, dass diese Entscheidung lediglich im politischen Interesse erfolgt ist.
